Cafetiere (French Press)

A timeless classic, the cafetiere offers a rich and full-bodied brew by immersing coffee grounds in water, allowing for a deep extraction of flavours.​

What You'll Need:

  • Cafetiere​
  • Coarse-ground coffee​
  • Freshly boiled water​
  • Stirring utensil​
  • Timer​

Brewing Steps:

  1. Measure & Add Coffee: Use a ratio of 60g of coffee per liter of water. Adjust according to your cafetiere's size.​
  2. Add Water: Pour hot water (just off the boil) over the coffee grounds, ensuring all are saturated.​
  3. Stir & Steep: Give it a gentle stir and place the lid on with the plunger pulled up. Let it steep for 4 minutes.​
  4. Plunge & Serve: Slowly press the plunger down and pour immediately to enjoy a robust cup.
