Chemex

An elegant brewer that combines form and function, the Chemex produces a clean cup with bright flavours, ideal for showcasing single-origin coffees.​

What You'll Need:

• Chemex and paper filter​
• Medium-coarse ground coffee​
• Gooseneck kettle​
• Freshly boiled water​
• Scale and timer​

Brewing Steps:

1. Prepare Chemex: Place the paper filter in the Chemex with the triple-folded side facing the spout. Rinse with hot water to preheat and remove paper taste.​
2. Add Coffee: Use 30g of coffee for 500ml of water.​
3. Bloom: Pour 60ml of water over the grounds and let it bloom for 30 seconds.​
4. Pour Water: In a circular motion, slowly pour the remaining water over the coffee, maintaining the water level without overflowing. Aim for a total brew time of 4 to 4.5 minutes.​
5. Serve: Once the water has fully filtered through, remove the filter and pour the coffee into your cup to enjoy a crisp and clean brew.
