Cafetiere (French Press)
A timeless classic, the cafetiere offers a rich and full-bodied brew by immersing coffee grounds in water, allowing for a deep extraction of flavours.
What You'll Need:
- Cafetiere
- Coarse-ground coffee
- Freshly boiled water
- Stirring utensil
- Timer
Brewing Steps:
- Measure & Add Coffee: Use a ratio of 60g of coffee per liter of water. Adjust according to your cafetiere's size.
- Add Water: Pour hot water (just off the boil) over the coffee grounds, ensuring all are saturated.
- Stir & Steep: Give it a gentle stir and place the lid on with the plunger pulled up. Let it steep for 4 minutes.
- Plunge & Serve: Slowly press the plunger down and pour immediately to enjoy a robust cup.
